Ciara Alarcon
Hi, I'm Ciara! I’m a digital marketing and growth professional with more than 10 years of experience across digital media, content, SEO, social media and brand growth. I started my career in journalism, which probably explains why I’m naturally curious, love asking questions and am always looking for the story behind the numbers.
What drew me to digital marketing was the mix of creativity and strategy. I love coming up with ideas, but I also love looking at the data afterwards and asking, “Okay, but did that actually work?” For me, great marketing isn’t just about getting people’s attention — it’s about understanding what they need, telling stories that resonate, and creating a digital experience that helps them take the next step.
I’m especially excited to be joining MAMA because the work has a real human impact. Pregnancy and birth are such significant moments in a family’s life, and I love that I get to play a small part in helping women and families discover MAMA, understand their options and feel more confident in their journey.
The areas of digital marketing I’m most passionate about are SEO, content and brand storytelling, social media, website and conversion strategy, and analytics. Basically, I enjoy everything from figuring out what people are searching for on Google to figuring out why they clicked, what made them stay, and what might make them come back.
My approach is a combination of data and storytelling. Data tells me what is happening and where we have opportunities, while storytelling helps make sure we’re connecting with real people rather than just talking to numbers on a dashboard. I believe the best marketing happens when those two things work together — when something is strategically sound but still feels genuinely human.
Outside of work, I’m usually trying new restaurants, discovering new places, spending time with family and friends, or finding something new to be curious about. I’m also a big believer that some of the best creative ideas happen when you’re not actively trying to come up with them — usually somewhere between a good meal and a completely unrelated conversation.
