Acupuncture

Acupuncture supports circulation, reduces inflammation, and balances the nervous system, helping with pregnancy symptoms such as nausea, back pain, insomnia, anxiety, breech or malpositioned babies, as well as pelvic pain, fertility, and overall wellbeing.

Our practitioner offers Chinese Medicine treatments including acupuncture, cupping, gua sha, massage, and herbal medicine, incorporating specialized pregnancy massage into sessions.

Acupuncture at MAMA

  • Acupuncture can be helpful in promoting circulation, reducing inflammation and supporting your nervous system. Acupuncture can be helpful throughout pregnancy with the following: 

    • Nausea and vomiting

    • Constipation

    • Insomnia

    • Headaches and migraines

    • Anxiety and depression 

    • Pelvic girdle pain

    • Back pain

    • Sciatica

    • Carpal tunnel

    • Hyperacidity and heartburn 

    Appointments go for approximately an hour, where we dive into your history and current presentation. You will then rest with the acupuncture and have an ‘acu nap’ for approx 20-25 mins, leaving feeling refreshed and relaxed post treatment.
